Today is our puppy's 1st birthday! His name is Shackleford and he is dearly loved. He is playful, loving and very even-tempered. We couldn't have picked a more amazing dog. He truly is part of the family. Thanks to you guys for breeding and setting high standards for the dogs you sell. I will have John forward some photos of Shackleford so you can see how beautiful he is. Sincerely, The S. Family |

I do not have any “new” pics of Abby but she remains my bear of a sweetheart though and everyone loves her.
We had our middle daughter and her family from MN here for the weekend and although Abby has never been around these 3 children she was a dream. I hope you and yours have a pleasant holiday and if we take any pictures of Abby this season I’ll be sure to pass them along.
Happy Holidays,

I wanted to let you know that we just love Kaiser to pieces. He is such a good boy and seems to be doing very well (so far) with house training - in the 2 weeks we've had him, he's only had 4 accidents. We are keeping him on a routine and it's appears to be working. He's already learned how to sit with both a verbal command and hand gesture…both ears have finally popped up - although the left one sometimes relaxes. We took him to the vet last Friday and the vet was very impressed with him and said from the skeletal structure - he looks like he'll be between 90-100 pounds - YOWZA! Well, I just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know that we are soooo thankful Rich found your add - Kaiser is bringing us so much joy! Here are a few pics I thought you might enjoy….We'll keep in touch! Take care - SG |

It was so nice to come in to work to your email. You of course have been on my mind through all of this. I told Jason on our way home from the airport that what you and Mark do is something very special for people that are looking for the perfect pet and that I can’t imagine how hard it must be to not only give up your babies but also put them on a plane headed to another state. Not everyone is in love with the German Shepherd dogs the way I am and it is a blessing to be able to go on to a web site and see such well taken care of, beautiful dogs. We had looked at several breeders here in Arizona and though I wanted to save all the puppies from the environment they were in, I was not sure of the type of background or upbringing they have been exposed to. Jason one day forwarded your web site to me and when I opened it up and saw the difference in where your puppies were and how healthy they looked I knew right away that I had finally found the breeders I wanted to get my dog from. I want to assure you that he is in a very loving home and will be my baby even when he is old. His eyes are so full of energy and excitement. He is such a quick learner and the giggle’s he brings to all of us is priceless. Jason had his two dogs before we met and I love them both very much, but Schutz is my baby and has stolen my heart from the moment I first laid eyes on him. I will continue to send pictures to you and emails keeping you up to date on Schutz. I will go home tonight and swoop him up and squeeze him tight and tell him that you love him and miss him and most of all are still thinking of him. I hope that you like the name I picked out for him. I feel like an adoptive parent who wants the other set of parents to be proud of the new home there little one has gone to. Please rest you heart and mind where Schutz is concerned. He is and will be very happy and loved. Have a Merry Christmas Connie!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that Sasha is enjoying her new home. There is never a dull moment with her around. I could tell the other day as I drove off that you hated to see her go, but like I told you she is our new child and will always be treated like one of the family. Here are a few pics of her. As you can see in one she had a little too much fun that day. Thanks again, J. |

I thought I would send a picture of our bundle of joy. He has adjusted quite well to his new home and as you can see he has a soft spot for his big brother. We spent all day Saturday doing yard work and he and the other two dogs had to be right where we were working the entire time. Our other dogs have a shadow constantly. He follows them where ever they go and loves to bark at them when he feels it is time to play. He jumps and crawls all over them and loves to bite at their feet and tails. We have named him “Schutz Engle” and will be calling him Schutz for short. I looked through a German dictionary and found that it means Guardian Angle. I feel that it fits him perfect. He is already coming to us when we call his name and the other day he was out doing his duty in the yard and lifted up his right leg. That’s my boy J He pretty much does as he pleases and the first few nights he chose to sleep in our bed. He cuddled up with me and slept through the night until he decided to use my ankle as a chew toy. We just love him so much and he has the best personality. He has lots of chew toys lying around the house to play with but prefers socks so I took a couple of my thick winter socks and tied them together in a knot. He now has a favorite toy J He is still learning to not go potty in the house but is doing much better. I can’t tell you how much joy he has brought to my life. When we went to the airport and Jason opened his kennel door he ran right over to me. Of course I cried and then swooped him up and carried him through the airport. I can’t wait until he grows up so I can see how handsome he is. He is already showing his protective nature as well. Jason was standing at the mail box the other day and a dog across the road barked and before he knew it, Jason had Schutz at his feet in front of him barking at the other dog. To hear Jason tell the story is so cute because he sounds like such a proud poppa. When he gets a little older we will introduce him to our dirt bikes and camping. We go camping a lot with my family and have quads to ride, I can’t wait until he is big enough to go chase rabbits and lizards in the desert with his big brothers. I am thinking that we need to buy a bigger camping trailer now so that all of us will fit on the beds. I will take more pictures so that you too can see how he is doing and how handsome each day he is becoming. I just wanted to thank you and your wife for taking all the measures you did to get me my dream dog. I appreciate so much the time and effort that you put forth. I hope that all is well with you and I will keep in touch.
Thanks again

Connie, We can no longer call him "two tips" as both ears are standing tall!!! Cody was sad to see his "baby" grow up so fast. We both JUST LOVE HIM!!! He is an absolutely wonderful puppy. Headstrong - yet very smart. He already knows his name, sit, "No" and goes to the front door and sits when he needs to go out. A few small accidents, but nothing major. It actually brings tears to my eyes every morning when I go to wake Cody up and see Bear snuggled up next to him. The other night, Cody came home and left again quickly. Bear sat at the front window crying for about 10 minutes. I finally got him to come into the den with me and then he sat in front of the recliner (where Cody sits) with his head cocked and crying for another 5 minutes. Cody and Bear are starting "puppy training classes" on Tuesday. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. He is a wonderful dog and he brings a smile to Cody's face (and eyes) every minute of every day. P.S. I love him too, but Cody says that I don't discipline him enough!! Thanks again, and we will definitely keep in touch. We will send pictures as soon as we get a digital camera. Carla & Cody |

Hi Mark- I’m sorry it took me so long to respond to your e-mail. Our family absolutely loves our new addition. Our daughter named her Zoey. Zoey is so perfect. Everyone who has met her falls in love. She is so smart and well behaved. We are going through the potty training process now and she is doing a real good job. She still gets a little too excited when she meets new people. Do you have any suggestions on stopping her from wetting when she meets new people? I forgot how hard it was to have a baby in the house. She chews on everything. She is the most loving baby. My husband and I just adore her. We introduced her to our neighbor’s German Shepard. The two of them got along perfectly. No fighting just playing. We took her to the vet and he was very impressed. No problems what so ever and told us that this dog was a prize. We can’t thank you enough for caring so much about your dogs.
I’ve been wanting to e-mail you and your wife for some time to let you know how happy we are. I really was not ready to take on a dog (even though I am a serious dog person). I just didn’t think it was the right time. I was wrong. It is the perfect time. She has brightened up our world in ways I wouldn’t have guessed. Thank you again for being such good breeders and taking such good care of your puppies.

Hi, ya'll asked for pictures of max at 6 months old. Max has lived in the house since we bought him. He is very attentive, smart and loving, he goes everywhere we go. He loves to play in the water, play fetch and loves children, he is very protective. We love him very much, he is obedience trained and in a month will be guard and protection trained. His Trainer loves to work with him, he has a natural love to do what ever you ask of him.
Thank You B.& K. A. |

She is so beautiful and recently went through Obedience School where the instructor gave her much high praise we all love her and she has become a very treasured part of our family.
Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Ms. M. |

Connie & Mark,
I wanted to update you on the puppies. When I can get Mark to download pictures for me, I will send more current ones.
At six months as of April 4th, Alex weighs 66 pounds and Nika weighs 58.5. They are wonderful, beautiful, obedient, and growing like crazy. We haven't been on any more trips except to the vet and Alex has started being very protective in all arenas away from the house. I try to walk them every day when I possibly can. They have just this week started staying outside all day since Mark has the doghouse almost finished. He's been coming home every day at lunch to let them outside since we got them.
Nika lives to fetch anything that we throw. Alex does, too, but not to the degree of Nika. They will still run together and pick up whatever we throw and trot back side-by-side with it in both of their mouths. She will bring the frisbee to me when she wants me to throw it. Sometimes we leave the patio door open and she will go outside, get the frisbee and bring it to me in the house. I'm still reading everything I can about German Shepherds and training.
I know it's important to exercise them a lot, so I'm doing that as often as possible.
Nika's ears have been up since January, but Alex's are still trying. We've started adding a teaspoonful of unflavored yogurt to their food to help a little bit. I hope they will eventually come up. He's so beautiful, anyway, no matter what.
Thank you so much for these wonderful dogs. We love them with all our hearts.
Sincerely, C. H. |

Just wanted to update you on the progress of our new family member; his name is Shackleford, and he is already dearly loved. Our ride home on Sunday was a breeze, once he found his spot (nose nuzzled under my arm) he slept the entire hour home. Our 17 y/o daughter couldn't believe how "cute" her new baby was, but her dad quickly reminded her that Shackleford is his dog! She and our new baby spent the rest of the evening trying to get to know one another. He has missed his large family and whimpers in hopes someone that looks like him will show up, but is slowly adjusting to life inside the house. He and Cleo (our pug), can't decide whether they like each other our not; we realize this takes a little time ... each trying to establish territory! House training is going well, and Shackleford is already going to the door when he needs to take care of business ... with the exception of the accidents that are going to happen, but we can't believe how smart he is. He is also doing well in his crate at night, but this is when he seems to miss his family the most. We bought him a stuffed dog to snuggle with and a clock that ticks loudly, but these items are no substitute for a warm body. The last two nights John has slept on the couch with the crate in the living room and when Shackleford wakes up he can see John and settles down almost immediately. He had his first trip to the vet and he checked out perfectly! Dr. Andrews was amazed how big he is for nine weeks, and asked if we realized how big he was going to get! We are very pleased to have our new addition, and look forward to watching him grow and develop his personality. Will send pictures as he grows. Sincerely, J., S. and A. S. |

Connie and Mark,
Cleo is doing good, growing extremely fast and chewing on everything. She is definitely not the mellow dog that she first was. We are enjoying her.
She seems very smart; she has learned to come, sit, stay, and go in the crate on command.
Thanks,
Monica and Ed |

Our baby is the smartest dog on the planet! She loves playing LaCrosse with my kids. She is one impressive animal! I’m not sure who is training who. She is the most loveable dog too. Thank you so much for this beautiful animal.

I bought "Thunder" from you and wanted to give you an update! He is the best puppy. So loving and even tempered. He gets along great with my other two dogs and loves being part of the family. I'm attaching a recent picture that I took of him. I'm just thrilled with him. Thank you so much! A.C. |
